What is a CFD?

A CFD, or Contract for Difference, is a financial derivative instrument that allows traders to speculate on the price movements of various underlying assets without owning the underlying assets themselves. It enables traders to enter a contract with a broker based on the difference between the opening and closing prices of the asset, without taking ownership of the asset. CFDs are associated with a high risk of losing your invested capital due to leverage.
